has passed.. We hope that you were able to enter the tournament. 2. Entries for the EVUSBC Open Handicap Tournament are now
available. They may also be picked up at any bowling center or by
going to our web page - Tournament Entries.
3. The Willamette Valley 700 Club, Eugene, held their annual 700
tournament at Strike City on January 24. The entrants each
bowled six qualifying games, then the top four went into head-to-head
competition. Fourth place winner, Joan Given, squared off with
the third place winner, Koleen Kelly with Koleen winning with a 215.
Koleen then took on the second place winner, Teri Sunell. Koleen
emerged again the winner with a 197. Then in the
championship round Koleen took on the leader of the qualifying,
Natalie Cardoza.
This match was very evenly matched until Natalie started
stringing strikes and emerged the champion with a 248 to Koleen's 215.
This was the third championship in a row for Natalie.
The 700 Club members voted to include 600 club member into their
organization and hold joint tournaments next year. President
Joyce Clayborn and Sgt-at-Arms Sondra Mullins were both re-elected.
Along with Terri Sunell's second place finish, she received the Thresia Wick Memorial award for the high game of the tournament for her 250 game she had in the qualifying round.
